A thick, chilled smoothie is perfect for warm days, and this Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie delivers bold strawberry flavor balanced by bright lemon from juice, zest and lemon yogurt. It’s creamy, naturally fruity, and easy to make.

The combination of frozen fruit, lemon yogurt and a splash of milk creates a satisfying texture—smooth and milkshake-like if you use frozen strawberries and banana. It’s great by the pool, on the patio, or anytime you want a refreshing treat.

Why You Will Love this Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie:

  • Light and refreshing with bright lemon notes.
  • Kid-friendly and easy to sip.
  • Uses a handful of everyday ingredients.
  • Flexible—easy to customize with add-ins.

Recipe Ingredients:

  1. Frozen banana: Keep frozen bananas on hand for smoothies—they add creaminess and body.
  2. Strawberries: Fresh or frozen work, but frozen strawberries make the smoothie thicker and colder. Use frozen for a milkshake-like texture.
  3. Milk: Any milk works—whole, skim, almond, oat, or another nondairy option.
  4. Lemon yogurt: Lemon-flavored yogurt gives this smoothie its signature zing. If you don’t have lemon yogurt, vanilla or strawberry yogurt can be used in a pinch, though the flavor will differ slightly.
  5. Lemon: Fresh lemon juice and a little zest intensify the citrus flavor.
  6. Sweetener (optional): Taste first, then add honey, maple syrup or sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.

How To make This Smoothie:

Frozen strawberries, yogurt, lemon zest, frozen banana and other ingredients in blender.
Strawberry lemon smoothie mixture blended in blender.
  • Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender, placing liquid at the bottom unless your blender’s instructions say otherwise.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie isn’t cold or thick enough, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  • Taste and add sweetener if desired, then serve immediately.

Optional Add-Ins and Recipe Variations:

This smoothie is delicious as written, but you can customize it to suit your needs.

  • Add a scoop of protein powder—vanilla, strawberry or coconut flavors work well.
  • Use a drop of lemon extract for extra citrus intensity.
  • Blend in a handful of spinach or baby kale for added nutrients (the color will change, but the flavor can still be great).
  • Boost protein and creaminess with a few tablespoons of cottage cheese.
  • Mix in other frozen berries for a more complex berry profile.
