Spicy Mango Guacamole Brings the Perfect Amount of Heat

Guacamole is one of those dishes that rarely needs embellishment, but adding mango gives it a sunny, juicy lift that makes the dip feel fresh and different. I make guacamole often—avocados are a staple in my kitchen—and mixing in mango and a little jalapeño is an easy way to change things up without losing what makes guac so satisfying.

This version balances the creaminess of ripe avocados with sweet mango, sharp red onion, bright cilantro, and just enough jalapeño or crushed red pepper to give it a gentle kick. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for game day, taco night, or any gathering where snacks matter.

If you prefer less heat, simply reduce or omit the jalapeño and crushed red pepper. Either way, the juicy mango is the star—its sweetness contrasts beautifully with the savory, tangy elements of the guacamole.

Hello mangoes.

Mango adds bright color and a tropical note that’s especially welcome during cold, gray months. It lightens the texture and brings a pleasant sweetness that complements the avocado’s richness. Use fresh mango when it’s in season or frozen, thawed mango when needed—both work well.

This guacamole is great with tortilla chips, but it also works as a topping or side for many dishes. Try it on black bean burgers, carnitas, tacos, or over a burrito bowl for a fresh, flavorful boost.

Ways to enjoy Spicy Mango Guacamole

  • Spread over black bean burgers for a bright, juicy contrast.
  • Serve alongside carnitas — it’s a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
  • Add to any taco night as a flavorful topping.
  • Mix into a burrito bowl or spoon on top of slow-cooked chicken for extra freshness.
