No full recipe today—unless you count the recipe for the easiest holiday dinner you can enjoy this season. That one I do have for you.
I’m very selective about the brands I partner with, and working with Bob Evans felt completely natural. Why? Because for holiday meals with my husband’s family, Bob Evans does most of the work for us.
When my husband and I first celebrated Thanksgiving as a family of three, we kept it small and quiet. We stayed in, relaxed, and savored the moments. Anthony’s parents brought carryout from Bob Evans—one of their favorites—and we didn’t have to lift a finger.
We usually schedule our family Thanksgiving the week before or after the holiday. That way we can enjoy a relaxed celebration without the hustle of Thanksgiving Day itself. It creates a calm, welcoming start to the season for everyone.

This Year, We Had a Feast!
A Farmhouse Feast, to be exact. When I heard Bob Evans offered a heat-and-serve holiday meal, I was excited to elevate our usual carryout dinner into something even easier and more special.
I called my mother-in-law and told her not to worry—I was taking care of dinner this year. It would still be her favorite meal, but this time it would be a full, oven-ready dinner rather than simple carryout.

With a busy toddler in the house, making a whole Thanksgiving spread would have made it hard to fully enjoy the day. Sam’s endless energy makes large cooking projects difficult. I cook daily for the blog, so on holidays I want to be present and relaxed. This year, thanks to Farmhouse Feast, we got just that.
Our holiday was simple and full of togetherness. It was a holiday made simple with Farmhouse Feast, and I was grateful for the extra time to enjoy family.

So who’s hungry? I know I am. You might be thinking Thanksgiving is over—what now? Plenty of occasions still call for a Farmhouse Feast:
- Late Friendsgiving
- Christmas dinner
- Holiday luncheon with coworkers
- Cozy New Year’s Eve with family
- New Year’s Day dinner
And many more. Now, here’s what you really want to know about: the food.
We ordered the Premium Farmhouse Feast, which serves 8–10 people and is priced at $124.99. The package includes:
- Slow-Roasted Turkey
- Hickory-Smoked Ham
- Bread and Celery Dressing
- Sweet Buttered Corn
- Mashed Potatoes
- Gravy
- Green Beans with Ham
- Macaroni and Cheese (Sam’s favorite)
- Cranberry Relish
- Rolls
- Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream
- Double-Crust Apple Pie
Everything arrives packed in a large box and, where available, can be delivered straight to your door.

You can build your Farmhouse Feast online, by phone, or in store. I placed my order over the phone and Anthony picked it up the morning of our family dinner.
A few hours before dinner I popped the turkey in the oven and followed the included step-by-step instructions. Everything heated evenly, and when I pulled the dishes out and set the table, dinner was ready to serve. We had time for drinks, conversation, and plenty of laughs—largely thanks to Sam.
A Few Notes from Our Experience
- The pies are whole pies, not slices—plenty of dessert to share. My father-in-law even took home extra.
- You’ll need several oven-safe containers with lids to heat everything. We fit everything in our oven and chose to bake the dressing for a crisp top rather than using the microwave.
- There was more than enough meat for our party of five, and I’m confident the portions would serve up to ten. We enjoyed leftovers for several days and used the turkey in other recipes.
- If your family loves dressing like ours, consider ordering extra—the dressing disappeared quickly.
- The rolls don’t require warming, but we liked them baked for a few minutes before dinner.
